We are delighted to share that Professor Tayyar Alp Özkan, an expert collaborating with WBL Medical Group, successfully presented a special report on LIPUS (Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound) technology at the 3rd MGAS (Male Genital Aesthetic and Sexual Health Academic Conference) held from October 9–12, 2025, at the Hilton Hotel Bakırköy, Istanbul, Turkey.
This conference, jointly hosted by urology and gynecology professionals, attracted over 400 experts, covering the field of reproductive health for both men and women.
Professor's Keynote Speech
Professor Alp delivered a keynote address titled:
"LIPUS—A Novel Microenergy Treatment for Erectile Dysfunction"
He provided an in-depth introduction to the core principles and clinical applications of the WBL LIPUS system to experts from urology and gynecology. This interdisciplinary conference format also created new opportunities for LIPUS technology to enter the field of gynecology.
Key highlights of the presentation:
1.Energy density: 50–300 mW/cm² (6 levels)
2.Frequency: 1.7 MHz
3.Pulse mode: 1:4 (200 µs pulse, 800 µs interval)
4.Probe types: F-type (10 cm², for ED), Y-type (1.4 cm², for IPP)
5.Comparative analysis: Differences in waveform dynamics between shock waves and ultrasound
Professor Alp emphasized that LIPUS, as a non-invasive and painless microenergy treatment, differs from traditional ESWT shock waves by delivering energy stimulation uniformly and gently. It avoids cavitation effects and tissue damage while achieving a safe and effective biological repair response.
WBL LIPUS Technology Principles and Treatment Effects
The core mechanism of WBL LIPUS is the use of low-energy pulsed ultrasound (acoustic intensity range 50–350 mW/cm²) applied to the corpus cavernosum tissue of the penis. It activates endogenous stem cells, promotes vascular and nerve regeneration, repairs damaged vascular endothelium and neural matrices, and thus improves erectile function at the pathological level. Compared to traditional oral medications (such as PDE5 inhibitors), implant surgery, or invasive therapies (such as corpus cavernosum injections), WBL LIPUS provides a safe, non-invasive treatment option that does not cause drug dependency, side effects, or surgical complications.
WBL LIPUS Competitive Advantages
1.Non-invasive and Safe
No need for medication or surgery, avoiding liver and kidney burdens and infection risks, especially for patients with chronic conditions such as diabetes.
2.Comprehensive Treatment Model
The unique "LIPUS + Psychological Counseling + VR" multi-dimensional treatment approach balances physiological repair with psychological intervention, improving patient satisfaction by more than 30%.
3.Clinical Data Support
Clinically validated in over 60 medical institutions globally, with its efficacy and safety endorsed by authoritative institutions such as UCSF in the U.S. and Peking University Hospital.
The presentation was met with great enthusiasm, with many doctors expressing strong interest in Microenergy Medicine and hoping to explore further clinical collaboration and research.
WBL Medical Group sincerely thanks Professor Tayyar Alp Özkan for his professional contributions to the promotion and academic cooperation of LIPUS technology.
We look forward to meeting Professor Alp again at the 2025 MEDICA International Medical Exhibition in Düsseldorf, Germany, in November to jointly advance the clinical research program and strategic cooperation in Turkey.
