The East Sea Erectile Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Training Course was held today, providing an in-depth analysis of the clinical applications of Micro Energy Medicine
Date:2025-08-20 Redact:WBL

Starting from August 17, the East Sea Erectile Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment Technology Training Course has been held at the Urology and Nephrology Hospital in Ningbo. As the core topic of this training, the clinical application of Micro Energy Medicine in urology became the focal point. Several experts delivered presentations to deeply analyze the technical principles and practical achievements of this technology.

Ningbo Urology and Nephrology Hospital’s Head Nurse, Qian Chaoxia, delivered a report titled "The Application of Micro Energy Medicine in Urology," where she systematically explained the technical spectrum of Micro Energy Medicine from a disciplinary perspective. In her presentation, she first defined the physical properties and biological effects of energy forms such as ultrasound, electromagnetic waves, and light waves, clarifying the role of different energy modalities in the intervention of urological diseases.

Based on prospective cohort study data, she focused on the clinical positioning of the LIPUS technology by WBL: as a first-line non-invasive treatment for erectile dysfunction (ED), this technology has shown statistically significant improvements in delayed-onset hypogonadism (LOH), chronic prostatitis, and stress urinary incontinence. However, further multi-center, large-sample randomized controlled trials are needed to verify its long-term efficacy. Additionally, based on evidence from evidence-based medicine, she proposed potential indications for the technology, such as plaque ablation for penile fibrosis, sensitivity modulation for premature ejaculation, and improving spermatogenesis in oligospermia, pointing out directions for technological translation.

Mechanism of LIPUS Technology and Exploration of Chinese-Western Medicine Collaborative Treatment

Lin Fei, Head Nurse at Ningbo Urology and Nephrology Hospital, gave a detailed presentation titled "LIPUS Technology Mechanism and Erectile Dysfunction Treatment," where she elaborated on the molecular mechanism of low-intensity pulsed ultrasound: by applying mechanical stress from ultrasound waves of specific frequencies, LIPUS can upregulate the levels of endothelial growth factor in the penile corpus cavernosum, promote capillary neogenesis, and smooth muscle cell proliferation, thereby improving erectile function.

The report innovatively proposed a collaborative treatment plan combining Chinese and Western medicine: for erectile dysfunction (ED) caused by Kidney Yang Deficiency, a randomized controlled study of moxibustion combined with LIPUS was designed, focusing on monitoring IIEF-5 scores and penile hemodynamic parameters. For ED caused by liver Qi stagnation, an aromatherapy and LIPUS intervention model was explored. Clinical data showed that compared with LIPUS treatment alone, this combination therapy was more effective for liver Qi stagnation-type ED, especially in improving erectile hardness in moderate patients and alleviating anxiety.

Lin Fei pointed out that aromatherapy is simple to perform, safe, and its synergistic effect with WBL LIPUS provides a sustainable new paradigm for urological treatment, offering practical evidence for the integration of Chinese and Western medicine in male health.
