At a crucial stage where the country is continuously promoting independent innovation in medical technology, WBL Medical Technology, a national high-tech enterprise focusing on male health, has made significant achievements in the application of LIPUS (Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound) technology in the medical industry. As a result, it has been featured in the Central Radio and Television Station's "Sci-Tech Innovation China" documentary series, becoming the only selected urology medical device company.

Title: "Sci-Tech Innovation China" Episode 52 - "Activating the Growth of All Things with the Power of Innovation"
The documentary is structured into four chapters: "Technology, Poetry, and the Beauty of Life," "Technology, Original Intention, and Practical Approach," "Technology, Transformation, and Integrated Innovation," and "Technology, Application, and Global Expansion." It showcases how LIPUS technology transitions from cutting-edge scientific ideas to clinical transformation and standardized applications. The film opens with an interview with Chairman Guo Mao: "Science and technology are not just rational tools; they are also filled with warmth and poetry." He notes, "Life itself is beautiful, and technology activates the natural force of growth in all things."
Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound (LIPUS-ED) therapy technology was developed under the advocacy of Chinese Academy of Engineering Academician Guo Yinglu, adhering to the mission of the "third revolution in life sciences." The research and development process was driven by the team of Professor Lv Futai and Professor Lin Guiting from the University of California, Berkeley's Urology Molecular Laboratory, alongside the team of Professor Xin Zhongcheng from Peking University First Hospital's Urology Molecular Laboratory. After years of research, they discovered the safe and effective frequency, pulse intensity, and emission form of LIPUS-ED therapy technology.
In parallel, Professors Xia Shujie and Li Zheng from Shanghai Jiaotong University First Affiliated Hospital conducted multi-center, randomized controlled clinical studies, verifying the efficacy and safety of LIPUS therapy for mild to moderate erectile dysfunction (ED), and exploring the differences in treatment frequency. These studies confirmed that LIPUS therapy is non-invasive, safe, and effective, laying a solid foundation for its clinical standardization.
Professor Lv Futai explains in the documentary: "The first step was to screen energy parameters at the cell culture level. We studied the reactions of muscle cells, nerve sheath cells, and vascular wall cells to determine the optimal energy level for tissue repair."
Under the leadership of Academician Guo Yinglu, Professor Lv Futai, and Chairman Guo Mao, WBL established a comprehensive research system that covers cell culture, animal experiments, energy parameter optimization, and equipment improvement, laying the scientific foundation for technological transformation.
Professor Xin Zhongcheng emphasizes: "After repeated experiments in life sciences, we further optimized various parameters and finally selected the optimal energy combination, including the pulse frequency, intensity, and emission frequency of the ultrasound. These scientific details are the key to clinical success."
Professor Xia Shujie points out: "Through extensive multi-center clinical research, we have fully demonstrated that this is a safe and effective treatment method. It activates endogenous stem cells in the body through mechanical force to achieve therapeutic goals and restore patient health. This is a clinical result driven by the integration of medicine and technology."
Professor Li Zheng adds: "The greatest innovation of this technology lies in the fact that it provides a non-invasive, non-surgical, and non-systemic drug treatment to address local problems. We are standing at a new starting point to achieve functional recovery through non-drug methods, and LIPUS will become an important technological option in this era."
With international collaboration and local scientific research advancing hand in hand, LIPUS has been included in the "Erectile Dysfunction Diagnosis and Treatment Expert Consensus" published by authoritative organizations such as the Chinese Medical Association Urology Physician Branch and the Chinese Journal of Urology. It has become one of the "gold standard" non-drug treatments recommended by Chinese urology. The technology has established a foundation for application in clinical centers across China, with tens of thousands of clinical cases validating its effectiveness and safety.
Throughout this process, WBL has not only committed to continuous progress in scientific principles and technological systems, but also created professional platforms like the "Ninth Muscle" science communication platform to promote patient education, industry collaboration, and international exchange. This has injected new momentum into the advancement of "micro-energy medicine" from the laboratory to the global clinical stage.
As one of the core protagonists in this documentary, WBL not only showcases the growth trajectory of a Chinese medical device company, but also conveys China's original strength and systematic capabilities in life sciences—transforming from basic principles to industrial applications, from scientific concepts to clinical effects. Every step profoundly responds to the era's mission: "Let science and technology illuminate life."
Stay tuned! On May 12, let us witness how technology illuminates the future of health and how LIPUS makes "safe and non-invasive" the cure of the new era.
