WBL LIPUS Academic Visit to Turkey

From Clinical Deployment to European Urology Academic Network Collaboration

Recently, the core team of WBL Medical journeyed to Turkey for an academic visit focused on the LIPUS (Low-Intensity Pulsed Ultrasound) technology. This trip concentrated on LIPUS applications in andrology, treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), regenerative medicine research, and academic collaborations within the European region. Engaging in in-depth dialogues with several renowned university hospitals, clinical research centers, and authoritative expert teams in the field of urology and andrology in Turkey, the visit not only validated the international clinical value of China’s original LIPUS technology but also established an academic cooperation bridge connecting Eurasia in male reproductive regenerative medicine.

From Clinical Translation to International Cooperation Layout

As an enterprise dedicated to microenergy medical technology innovation in the urology and andrology fields, WBL Medical has long been committed to the clinical translation and iterative upgrading of LIPUS technology. Unlike traditional ESWT (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy), LIPUS centers on “non-traumatic regenerative medicine” — it abandons the micro-invasive damage-induced repair pathway and instead utilizes low-intensity, repeatable pulsed ultrasound stimulation to optimize the tissue microenvironment, promote angiogenesis, and repair nerve functions. This multi-faceted effect offers a new regenerative medicine solution for treating andrological diseases.

The academic visit to Turkey was not merely a technical exchange but part of WBL’s international strategic deployment for the “LIPUS in Andrology (male regenerative medicine platform).” Through deep engagement with local top clinical and academic forces, the aim is to promote the integration of China’s original medical technology into the global andrology diagnosis and treatment system.

Turkey’s Value as an Eurasian Academic Hub

Thanks to its unique geographical and academic positioning, Turkey has become an important hub connecting the European urology academic system with the Middle East, Eastern Europe, and surrounding regions. It holds a rich clinical accumulation and wide regional influence in urological surgery, andrology, sexual medicine, and reproductive health.

The significance of this visit goes far beyond clinical device deployment itself: On one hand, it has preliminarily established the cooperative framework for a Turkish LIPUS clinical reference center and reached initial consensus on multi-center clinical research with local university hospital teams. On the other hand, leveraging Turkey’s academic outreach, it lays the foundation for LIPUS technology’s entry into the mainstream European urology and andrology academic arena, thus opening the critical channel for China’s original technology to enter the Eurasian market.

Building Clinical and Academic Synergistic Networks

During the visit, the WBL team forged deep cooperation intentions with four main types of partners to form a comprehensive collaborative network ensuring robust support for LIPUS’s regional implementation and academic promotion:

1.European Academic Linkage Teams

Cooperating with authoritative expert teams deeply involved in urology, andrology, and sexual medicine fields and maintaining close ties with the European urology academic system. With strong academic credentials and international collaboration experience, these teams will serve as key bridges for LIPUS technology to connect with European male regenerative medicine academic discussions and to advance international multi-center research.

2.ED Clinical Implementation Centers

Deploying LIPUS devices in specialized medical institutions, providing physician operational training, and standardizing treatment procedures. This center’s ED-focused research team highly recognizes LIPUS’s potential value in erectile dysfunction treatment, male functional recovery, and regenerative medicine, becoming the core site for early clinical observations and cooperative research in the Turkish region.

3.Regional Resource Integration Partners

Partnering with key coordinators in Turkey’s urology and andrology field who serve both as clinical experts and hold academic and market connection capabilities. Relying on their extensive industry networks and organizational strengths, the collaboration will cover LIPUS clinical reference center construction, physician training system development, dual-track marketing strategies, business models, and pricing planning—providing critical guarantees for smooth project advancement.

4.Male Health Platform Cooperation

Reaching preliminary consensus with experts advancing the construction of comprehensive Men’s Health Centers. Discussions centered on the core mechanism of LIPUS technology, its differentiated positioning from ESWT, the value of building clinical reference centers, and the future potential of regenerative medicine in andrology—reserving ample space for deeper future cooperation.

Clarifying the Core Differences Between LIPUS and ESWT

Considering Turkish clinical experts' extensive familiarity with ESWT technology, this exchange emphasized the unique positioning of LIPUS: LIPUS is not ESWT.

Whereas ESWT relies on mechanical shock and micro-invasive damage-induced repair responses, LIPUS’s core advantage is “non-traumatic regeneration” — a gentle stimulus via low-intensity pulsed ultrasound enabling repeatable treatments, non-invasive repair, and tissue microenvironment improvement.

As repeatedly stressed during the dialogue: “LIPUS is not another shockwave device. LIPUS is a non-traumatic regenerative andrology platform.”

In the future, formal invitations may be extended to Chinese and international urology and andrology experts to participate in UCD 2026, conducting academic exchanges on LIPUS technology, male regenerative medicine, new directions in ED treatment, and international multi-center cooperation.

This collaboration is expected to deepen connections among academic networks between China, Turkey, and UCSF, establish university-to-university cooperation mechanisms, enhance WBL LIPUS’s academic visibility in the European urology and andrology fields, and lay the groundwork for future multi-center clinical studies.

Constructing a High-End Regenerative Medicine Platform Positioning

Considering Turkey’s medical market characteristics, WBL preliminarily defined a regional market strategy: as ED treatment in Turkey is mainly self-pay, initial core deployment scenarios include high-end private andrology clinics, specialized men’s health centers, university hospital clinical reference centers, and academic leaders’ observation sites.

Looking ahead, WBL will adhere to the “Premium Regenerative Andrology Platform” positioning, avoiding low-price device competition. Instead, it will focus on clinical case accumulation, authoritative expert endorsements, optimized patient experience, and academic visibility improvement, steadily advancing market expansion via a dual-track model combining “university hospital academic leadership + private clinic clinical implementation.”

This Turkey visit has preliminarily realized deployments of LIPUS equipment and operational training at multiple university hospitals and clinical centers, established deep connections with Turkish urology and andrology KOLs, and begun shaping the pathway for future reference center cooperation.

Simultaneously, possibilities for formal academic invitations to UCD 2026 and discussions to upgrade LIPUS from an ED treatment device to a male regenerative medicine platform have also been initiated, laying the foundation for market expansions across Europe, Turkey, and the Middle East.

The Turkey journey marks an important milestone in WBL LIPUS technology’s internationalization process. From cross-ocean clinical technology deployment to Eurasian academic network linkage and the construction of an international cooperation platform, China’s original microenergy medical technology is progressing steadily onto the global stage.

In the future, WBL Medical will continue to deepen clinical and academic innovation of LIPUS technology, promote more international multi-center studies, and let China’s original medical technologies contribute to global male health, writing a technical benchmark for China in urology and male regenerative medicine.
