Lüliang City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital's Men's Health Department Introduces WBL LIPUS Treatment Cabin: Opening a New Chapter in Micro-Energy Medicine
Date:2026-01-30 Redact:WBL

Lüliang City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital's Men's Health Department has officially introduced the WBL LIPUS low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) erectile dysfunction (ED) treatment cabin, marking a new era of “micro-energy medicine” in the field of male health in China. As the first case in the industry featured on CCTV12's "Science and Technology Innovation China," WBL Medical Group has gained international recognition with the LIPUS technology, winning the IDEA Design Award. This innovative achievement, implemented through Lüliang City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, provides patients with a non-invasive, painless, and anesthetic-free treatment option for ED.

Founded in 1984, Lüliang City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital became an independent establishment in 2015 and has developed into a tertiary traditional Chinese medicine hospital that integrates medical services, research, education, and rehabilitation. It has also become a member of the Shanxi Province Men's Health Specialty Alliance. The introduction of the WBL LIPUS treatment cabin is a key initiative in the hospital's technical upgrade in the field of male health.

WBL LIPUS Technology

The LIPUS technology was initiated and advocated by Academician Guo Yinglu of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, in collaboration with Professor Lv Futai and Professor Lin Guiting's team from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), as well as Professor Xin Zhongcheng's team from Peking University First Hospital. After years of international collaborative research, the technology has been developed, creating a complete theoretical mechanism and technical platform by identifying optimal parameter combinations (including frequency, pulse intensity, and emission method). Its core mechanism involves activating penile cavernous stem cells and promoting vascular nerve regeneration, thereby achieving breakthrough progress in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). Clinical data shows that WBL LIPUS has significant efficacy for patients with mild to moderate ED, and this treatment option has been included in expert consensus as a first-line treatment choice in tertiary hospitals nationwide.

01 、Non-Invasiveness and Safety

No medications or surgery are required, avoiding the burden on the liver and kidneys and reducing the risk of infection, particularly suitable for patients with chronic diseases (such as diabetes).

02、 Comprehensive Treatment Model

The unique "LIPUS + Psychological Counseling + VR" triad treatment plan addresses both physiological repair and psychological intervention, improving patient satisfaction by over 30%.

03 、Authoritative Clinical Data Support

Supported by clinical validations from over 60 medical institutions globally, its efficacy and safety are endorsed by authoritative organizations like UCSF and Peking University Hospital.

The technological innovation of WBL Medical Group has not only received national media coverage but has also been recognized in the international design community for its human-centered design. Currently, WBL LIPUS technology has undergone clinical validation by various domestic and international institutions, benefiting numerous patients and expanding to the treatment of other chronic diseases.

This collaboration will promote deep integration between Lüliang City Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital and the Shanxi Province Men's Health Specialty Alliance, facilitating the development of appropriate technologies in traditional Chinese medicine. In the future, the hospital will explore the application of micro-energy medicine in health management across the male lifecycle, providing more precise diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients, and contributing to the implementation of the Health China Strategy.
